Gambia: Deputy Ambassador Fatou Njie Hydara Replaced By Mbemba Tambadou!

Fatou Njie Hydara the Deputy Ambassador at the Gambian Embassy in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has been recalled for home services, the Freedom Newspaper can report. The former Protocol officer attached to the gold digger Moroccan First Lady Zeinab Souma Jammeh, has been appointed Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She has been replaced by Mbemba Tambadou, the veteran Gambian broadcaster and former junta Information Minister.

No reason was given for the changes. The directive emanated from the president’s office.

Once again, Foreign Minister Ousainou Darboe was not consulted for the recent changes at his Ministry. The president’s office is not obligated to consult him on issues relating to hiring and firing of officials serving under his ministry.

But in the recent past, Mr. Darboe was virtually in charge of the hiring process at his Ministry. This was during Dawda Fadera’s watch as Secretary General and Head of the Civil Service.

Meanwhile, similar recalls were made in other diplomatic missions.
